Who is Celtic Serpents? I am a stay home mom to five amazing kids. I grew up internationally and bounced from England to Africa to New Zealand/Australia and then finally settled in the very late 70s in Canada. While growing up in each of those countries, I developed the passion for ‘all things gross and slimy’, as most people would refer to anything reptile or bug related. I always had a chameleon or geckos living in my room, an outdoor ‘lab’ of sorts filled with every spider and scorpion I could find, and upon moving to Canada, could finally fill my love for snakes too, as most were non venomous! Celtic Serpents began with a concept I had in 2008. I was just getting back into the hobby and growing on a large scale. At the time, I had difficulty finding items that I needed locally for my own collection, so I began sourcing out supplies for myself. In the first year I discovered a huge market for affordable local feeder supplies, as well as handling equipment and items such as probe sets, gloves and tongs. I decided to expand from hobby, to becoming a supplier for these items, which, in turn, offset the expenses associated with raising my own collection of snakes. I now work with higher end morphs of ball pythons as well as some boas. I sell online, locally and at Canadian Reptile Shows throughout the year when I can attend them. I am also happy to work with local stores when approached to strengthen the Canadian market. Unfortunately at this time, I am not set up to ship feeders or live animals Internationally, but can ship supplies at the buyer’s expense. I may be applying for CITES clearance if I feel the US demand is there. Thank you for visiting. |
